Contents in mint condition with full set of wooden pawns and swastica emblem cards, it looks as though this game has never been played.
I am sorry but this game has been sold but we are trying to find a replacement and hope to have it available again shortly.
Box is in generally good condition but some has age/storage related wear.
Object of the Game:-
To make the highest number of escapes from Colditz Castle, the German's Maximum Security Prison for prisoners-of-war in the Second World War.
One of the players elects to take the part of the German Guards who will endeavour to prevent all escapes.
The other players take the parts of "Escape Officers" who are responsible for organising escape attempts by their teams of prisoners.
The players (Escape Officers & the German Security Officer) decide at the outset the number of successful escapers required to win the game.
A time limit may be imposed if desired.
The German Security Officer is declared the winner if he succeeds in thwarting escape attempts.
This game is truly remarkable, bringing to life the true story & events surrounding the daring escape from the castle.
This edition is rarer than a similar edition produced with an eagle logo on the cover instead of the swastika shown on this edition.
